Why We’re Asking
Make Our Schools Safe was founded following the loss of Alyssa Alhadeff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in 2018.
Since then, MOSS has worked on school safety through advocacy for Alyssa’s Law, support for safety projects and resources in schools, and the development of MOSS Clubs, student-led, school-based clubs focused on building a culture of safety.
This video project gives members of the MOSS community an opportunity to put their own experiences and perspectives at the center of that story.
Your Voice, Your Story
There is no single way to describe what school safety means.
For one person, it may mean feeling safe walking into school each morning. For another, it may mean giving students the tools and confidence to make their communities safer. For someone else, it may simply mean remembering why this work matters.
Tell us what MOSS means to you.
