Continued partnership supports MOSS’s work to advance safer schools, empower students, and strengthen school safety efforts nationwide.
Make Our Schools Safe (MOSS), a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering students and staff to help create and maintain a culture of safety and vigilance in secure school environments, is proud to announce the renewal of its Impact Partnership with Stryker.
The renewed partnership reflects Stryker’s continued commitment to supporting MOSS and its work to create safer learning environments for students and educators across the country.
“Having partners who continue to stand with us year after year means so much,” said Lori Alhadeff, Co-Founder and CEO of Make Our Schools Safe. “Our work began because of Alyssa, but it continues for every student, educator, and family who deserves to know that school safety is a priority. We are incredibly grateful to Stryker for continuing to believe in our mission and support this work.”
Make Our Schools Safe was founded by Lori and Ilan Alhadeff following the death of their 14-year-old daughter, Alyssa Alhadeff, in the February 14, 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Today, MOSS advances its mission through school safety advocacy and awareness, student-led MOSS Clubs, and direct investment in school safety projects and resources. At the heart of the organization’s work is its Time = Life™ philosophy, recognizing that every second matters during a school emergency.
Through its Impact Partnership Program, MOSS works with mission-aligned companies that want to play a meaningful role in advancing safer schools. Impact Partners help strengthen MOSS’s ability to expand student programming, increase school safety education and awareness, support advocacy surrounding Alyssa’s Law and Alyssa’s Act, and address safety needs within school communities.
“Stryker’s continued support allows us to keep building on this work and reaching more students and communities,” said Tara Murray, Director of Development & Marketing for Make Our Schools Safe. “We truly value partners who see this as more than a sponsorship and want to be part of the larger school safety movement. We’re grateful to continue that relationship with Stryker.”
Throughout the renewed partnership, MOSS and Stryker will continue identifying opportunities for meaningful engagement, awareness, and collaboration in support of safer schools.
