This past Wednesday and Thursday, May 29 and 30, Make Our Schools Safe, The Walk Up Foundation, and Safe Schools for Alex brought an important presentation to our area!

Two national experts on Community Safety were able to discuss best practices related to the PREVENTION of targeted violence as well as Community Safety efforts.

Dr. Lina Alathari, Chief of The US Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center, along with Susan Payne, founder of Safe2Tell, educated participants who attended in all matters of threat assessment. Our entire community was able to benefit from the information presented, especially BSO Command Staff, Police Chiefs and their senior leadership, County and City Officials, and Mental Health providers.
